What is the use of an x-ray collimator? It is used to simulate X-rays and convert invisible X-rays into visible light. The x-ray collimator uses a lead plate with an adjustable gap to shield the unnecessary original emission line from the window, thereby controlling the size of the beam and changing the actual X-ray irradiation field. The relationship between focus, lead plate and irradiation field A/B=a/b A is the distance from the focal point to the lead plate; B is the distance from the focal point to the imaging surface; a represents the opening and closing degree of the lead leaf; b represents the size of the irradiation field.
