The role of colluminator

The colluminator is an essential component of medical X-ray diagnostic equipment. X-ray collimator is installed under the X-ray emission window of X-ray tube ball. According to the diagnostic needs, it can limit the radiation range of X-ray to a certain extent and reduce the radiation to human body as much as possible.
To achieve this function, colluminator with a certain thickness of lead plate made of lead shielding X-ray, lead in the X direction and Y direction with a pair of each lobe group, X ray radiation scope for rectangular, lead leaf is installed inside the colluminator mechanical structure, colluminator by manual or motor drive the X direction and Y direction lead leaf groups respectively move, change range of X-ray radiation.

In order to enable operators of X-ray diagnostic equipment to visually observe the set X-ray radiation range, an optical system composed of visible light source and reflection lens is adopted inside the colluminator, which will be consistent with the X-ray radiation range and visible light will be cast on the human body to simulate the radiation range.
