The structure of the collimator

The collimator is an indispensable auxiliary equipment for X-ray irradiation and protection. The manual collimator produced by our company Newheek is mainly used for photography. By manually adjusting the knob or pull rod on the collimator, the opening and closing activities of the collimator covered by the lead sheet can be realized.
In addition to the above, its internal structure is also equipped with a lighting field indicator system. It uses an indicator bulb to simulate the focus of an X-ray tube, replaces X-rays with visible light, and is incident on the bed surface after being reflected by a reflector. The optical path of reflecting visible light is consistent with the optical path of X-ray passing through the mirror, and the size of the irradiation field can be indicated in advance.
A clean and transparent plastic plate is also installed in front of the collimator, with black lines or dots engraved on it to indicate the center of the light field. On some collimators, the corresponding focal length of the illuminated area around the effective range of the knob or lever is marked.
