Collimated beam application

Collimated beam is usually used in the following situations:
(1) X-ray collimator can be used in the X-ray therapy machine to shield normal cells from X-ray damage when the diseased cells are being irradiated.
(2) protect non-inspection parts during fluoroscopy and photographic examination.In both cases, the size, shape, and mass of the X-ray field are regulated by collimated beam control.

Since X-ray is not visible light, it is not possible to determine the irradiation range of the exposed part of the patient intuitively.So use visible light instead of x-rays to determine the field of view.
