Manual x ray collimator

X ray collimator is an electromechanical optical device installed at the output port of X-ray tube. Its main function is to control the radiation field of X-ray output of X-ray tube, limit X-ray scattering as far as possible, control X-ray range and avoid unnecessary dose.

According to the way of opening and closing the lead leaf of the x ray collimator, it can be divided into manual x ray collimator, electric x ray collimator and automatic x ray collimator.

Manual x ray collimator is mainly used in radiography, mainly through manual adjustment of 2 knobs on the x ray collimator to adjust the opening and closing activities of the lead leaf of the x ray collimator.

A light bulb is installed inside the x ray collimator to simulate the focus of the X-ray tube. The X-ray is simulated by visible light and reflected by a reflector. The reflected visible light path is the same as that of X-ray through the reflector, so it can simulate the size of the irradiation field.
