What is dental X ray collimator?
Dental X ray collimator is an electromechanical optical device installed in front of the output window of the X-ray tube assembly sleeve. It is an indispensable auxiliary device for X-ray projection and protection. Its main function is to control the irradiation field of the output line of the x-ray tube, so as to reduce the projection range as much as possible and avoid unnecessary doses under the premise of meeting the requirements of x-ray imaging and diagnosis; and can absorb some scattered rays to improve the clarity of the impact degree.
The dental X ray collimator mainly includes a transmission device, a horizontally variable lead leaf, and a longitudinally variable lead leaf; the outside is mainly composed of a lead leaf opening and closing adjustment knob, a light field lamp button and an interface connected to the X-ray tube assembly.
