Dealer customer calls to inquire about the beam limiter

Recently, I received a call from a dealer’s customer asking about the beam limiter. After the price and parameters were clarified, I told the customer about the relevant principle of the beam limiter. The beam limiter is an accessory part of the X-ray inspection equipment. Its main purpose is to use it when positioning, to simulate the radiation area of the X-ray line, which can reduce the radiation dose of the patient and enhance the image quality.

x ray collimator is an electromechanical optical device installed in front of the output window of the tube sleeve of the X-ray tube assembly. Its main function is to control the radiation field of the output line of the X-ray tube, so as to minimize the projection range and avoid unnecessary dose on the premise of satisfying the X-ray imaging and diagnosis, and to absorb some scattered rays and improve the clarity of the impact.

In addition, there are many kinds of beam limiters, such as simple beam limiter, including wire shutter and wire shutter. Wire shutter is a lead plate with a certain size of square or circular holes installed in the window of X-tube. The opening of the lead plate is symmetrical with the X-ray center.

In order to make the selection and adjustment of the control field more flexible and convenient in use, and to improve the line covering effect, a movable beam limiter has appeared. The movable beam limiter is superior in function. It can continuously adjust the size of the irradiation field and meet the covering requirements of various sizes of film at any distance. Manual beam limiter: the manual beam limiter is mostly used in photography. The opening and closing of the lead leaf of the beam limiter is realized by manually adjusting the knob or the pull rod on the beam limiter.

Electric beam limiter: the electric beam limiter is mainly used in fluoroscopy inspection, which is convenient for remote control, and is an essential component for remote control of gastrointestinal bed. Automatic beam limiter: there is little difference in structure between the automatic beam limiter and the electric beam limiter. The difference is that the automatic beam limiter is equipped with a lead leaf state detection device
