A brief introduction to x-ray collimator

 X-ray- collimator

x-ray collimator, also known as a “screen,” “shrink,” or “beam,” is installed in the X-ray bushing window to screen out unnecessary primary x-rays during X-ray examination. It can limit the X-ray field to the minimum required, so that the dose received by the patient is minimized.
The main functions of the x-ray collimator can be summarized as follows:
1,Limit exposure so that patients and operators receive as little as possible
2,Reduce the area of secondary radiation and improve the clarity of perspective and photograph
3,Block the leakage rays as much as possible
